With roots going back to 1977 and three NAIA national championships in the 80s and 90s, the University of Illinois Springfield Men’s Soccer team has a storied legacy. Recently, the Prairie Stars have entered a new era of success, making three straight NCAA Tournament appearances from 2021-23 and capturing their first regular season GLVC title in 2023. UIS has competed in seven consecutive GLVC Tournaments, reaching the finals in 2021 and 2023.
