Sociology/Anthropology provides transformative educational experiences in the classroom and beyond. Your gift supports student field trips, research opportunities, study abroad, and public speakers or cultural events that bring campus and community together.
Gifts will support student research, build a library of textbooks to make courses more accessible, bring students to community locations such as the Illinois State Museum, the Jane Adams Hull House and other Illinois locations, and host public events that amplify marginalized voices and help to envision community-driven solutions.
Examples of how your gift can make an impact:
- $500 – transports 10 students to Chicago for a class field trip to study residential segregation
- $250 – helps cover travel expenses for a student researcher presenting at a regional conference
- $100 – provides travel expenses to bring a community speaker to campus
- $50 – adds a textbook to a lending library for student use
