Gifts to Green Projects contribute to...
Your donation will help us implement green projects to improve the sustainability of our campus. We have funded water bottle filling stations, energy efficient lighting, low flow dual-flush toilets, student service events, and other projects that make UIS more sustainable. Money donated to the UIS Community Garden will help pay for supplied needed in the summer months when we can't access SOFA funds.
We are challenging UIS faculty and staff to match the $5/semester fee that on-campus students pay to fund our sustainability initiatives. Help make our campus greener and develop our student leaders!
Examples of how your gift can make an impact:
- $50 - sends 10 students on a field trip to research sustainability projects in the Springfield area
- $100 - helps print better recycling labels for campus housing
- $250 - replaces 5 native trees damaged by disease and invasive pests
- $500 - replaces 5 outdoor lights with energy-saving LED fixtures OR installs water-saving dual-flush handles on 20 toilets
