Gifts to Center for Academic Success and Advising contribute to...
The Center for Academic Skills and Success serves as a hub for academic support services designed to help students achieve success at UIS. Previously, donations have gone directly to supporting students who support students by buying The Hub’s tutors new iPads to use during their Supplemental Instruction (SI) hours. Our tutors help hundreds and hundreds of students across campus and from many different majors.
Donations also contribute towards the Summer Scholars Program. This unique opportunity provides UIS incoming freshman to jumpstart their college career. This program immerses the students in college life, select college courses, the UIS community, and the Springfield area. Summer Scholars is a multifaceted program designed to assist freshman students with their transition from high school to college. Since this program launched several years ago, it has a history of helping students at UIS find a sense of community on campus, build strong friendships, and maintain good academic standing until their graduation. Your donations go directly to providing additional programming for the students during their summer stay on campus.
