Illinois Innocence Project

The Illinois Innocence Project works to free innocent people from Illinois prisons; educate students, the public and law enforcement about wrongful convictions; and establish policy and pass legislation to help prevent wrongful convictions.

The Illinois Innocence Project has welcomed 27 innocent men and women to freedom. The costs to do this work are high but they pale in comparison to the human cost of leaving an innocent man or woman in prison. Your gift today can make an impact!
