About

The CAP Study Away Fund helps provide financial resources to honors students who wish to study abroad as part of their undergraduate studies. Scholarships are specifically geared toward students who demonstrate financial need and who also are in good standing within the Capital Scholars Honors Program.

Gifts help students finance their Study Away experience. Students often use these types of experiences as credit toward their Honors Global Awareness Requirement, which is a component of the Capital Scholars Honors Program curriculum. The Honors Global Awareness Requirement is designed to give students a taste of what it means to be a global citizen and an opportunity to learn about other cultures, identities, and ways of life. Previously, gifts have helped students study in the UK, Italy, Spain, China, among other locations.

Scholarships awarded through the CAP Honors Study Away Fund are normally in the amount of $250 or $500, depending on student financial need and fund availability. A donation of $250 would provide for one scholarship, but any amount can be useful toward the larger goal of helping students.
