One Act, Endless Impact: The Student Body Gift
The UIS Student Philanthropy Program is starting a brand-new tradition at UIS: The Student Body Gift.
The motto of the Student Philanthropy Program is “One Act, Endless Impact”. All funds raised will support an area or areas which directly supports and impacts fellow students, their learning and growth. This student-led initiative is a peer-to-peer fundraising activity in support of student needs. Any enrolled UIS student—on-ground or online—can join and participate.
The first-ever Student Body Gift will be presented to the receiving unit or program in the Spring 2026 semester. The Student Body Gift is a new tradition where students can actively engage in philanthropic work within the UIS community and see first-hand how their actions help others and can begin to create a legacy.

Founding members of the UIS Student Philanthropy Program Leadership Team meet every Friday in the Student Union to make plans, celebrate successes and personal milestones.
